SUMMARY:After Humanity: Understanding CS Lewis's Abolition of Man
DESCRIPTION:Why do we say things are right and wrong?\nIs it merely a personal preference?\nOr are we recognizing something that is objectively real and true?\n\n\n\n\nThese questions formed the focus of Lewis’s work the Abolition of Man\, which originated as a series of lectures given during the dark days of World War II. \nConsidered by some to be “the lynchpin for understanding all of Lewis’s work”\, the Abolition of Man sets forth its arguments on purely philosophical grounds that many from all camps–including atheist philosopher John Gray—believe have as much\, if not more\, relevance today in our “post-truth” twenty-first century than when first published nearly 80 years ago. \nJoin Michael Ward as he presents on his most recent book\, After Humanity: A Guide to C.S. Lewis’s Abolition of Man\, through which he sheds light on this vital but challenging work\, explaining both its general context and the particular circumstances in Lewis’s life that helped give rise to it\, including his own front-line service in the trenches of the First World War. \n\n\n\nClick to Register!

SUMMARY:2022 Year One Fellows Urban Plunge
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, as a part of our Year One Fellows Program\, we host a service project that allows our Fellows to live out their discipleship training in active service to the city. This year we are excited to partner with our dear friends at Cornerstone Baptist Church to help serve in three of their vital ministries: the Cornerstone Kitchen\, the Closet and Shower Facility and Viola’s house\, a ministry that provides housing and support to teen mothers at-risk for homelessness. \nAll are welcome whether Fellow\, Alumni\, Friend\, Family or First-timer!! But registration is required. \nIt’s a great opportunity to not only serve alongside once of our city’s most powerful and beloved ministries\, but also to meet new friends and get to know more about the Institute and the Fellows Program. \nClick to Register!

SUMMARY:Fellows Applications Period - Feb 1 to May 15
DESCRIPTION:The C.S. Lewis Institute Fellows Program offers a tuition-free year of intensive discipleship that leads to significant life-change. The program prepares each Fellow to live a powerful\, transformed life in their church\, their community and in their workplace. Unlike many discipleship programs\, the Fellows program focuses on discipleship of both heart and mind. It involves Bible Study\, classic readings\, lectures\, group processing\, personal spiritual mentoring and accountability – all in the context of a small group of like-minded believers. This year-long program is designed for those who want to live as fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ and make an impact for Him in the world. It is designed to be achievable even for busy professionals with families. \nClick to Apply!
