SUMMARY:After Humanity: Understanding CS Lewis's Abolition of Man
DESCRIPTION:Why do we say things are right and wrong?\nIs it merely a personal preference?\nOr are we recognizing something that is objectively real and true?\n\n\n\n\nThese questions formed the focus of Lewis’s work the Abolition of Man\, which originated as a series of lectures given during the dark days of World War II. \nConsidered by some to be “the lynchpin for understanding all of Lewis’s work”\, the Abolition of Man sets forth its arguments on purely philosophical grounds that many from all camps–including atheist philosopher John Gray—believe have as much\, if not more\, relevance today in our “post-truth” twenty-first century than when first published nearly 80 years ago. \nJoin Michael Ward as he presents on his most recent book\, After Humanity: A Guide to C.S. Lewis’s Abolition of Man\, through which he sheds light on this vital but challenging work\, explaining both its general context and the particular circumstances in Lewis’s life that helped give rise to it\, including his own front-line service in the trenches of the First World War. \n\n\n\nClick to Register!

SUMMARY:Mission Possible: Reboot - Session 2
DESCRIPTION:How can we\, as wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ\, faithfully engage those with whom we disagree\, particularly when they are our friends\, co-workers and loved ones?\n\nWe are excited to announce that after several attempts at rescheduling due to the pandemic\, we will finally be hosting our event with Dr. Darrell Bock\, which had originally ben scheduled for April of 2020. We believe that the need for this material is more vital than ever\, as we find ourselves in an increasingly polarized country and church.\n\nDr. Bock has graciously offered to give us two sessions in a workshop style to make the material even more engaging and applicable. More Info to come very soon but make sure to mark you calendars. You will not want to miss these events!\n\nSession 1: March 4\nSession 2: March 11\n\nRegistration info coming soon!
